Our story

Recently we were advised by our vet (shout out to Dr. Mike at Arrowhead Vet) to start cutting our other dog (his name is Ham) regular food in 1/2 and substituting it with vegetables to help him lose weight for his ankle arthritis.

After much research we decided on sweet potatoes because they promote a healthy digestive system thanks to their high dietary fiber content, they’re low in fat and they’re loaded with essential nutrients like: vitamins A, C, and B6, as well as minerals LIKE potassium + manganese. These play huge roles in supporting  doggos overall health, including immune function, eye health, and bone strength. Sweet potatoes have helped Ham maintain his weight and he loves them so much!

We began searching for sweet potato treats and could not find many he loved… so we decided to make our own ❤

To get them as CRONCHY as possible, these ‘taters dehydrate for a long long long time; rendering the ultimate  CRONCH.   There are zero preservatives added, zero flavorings – just dehydrated sweet potatoes.

If your doggo is not in love with them at first:

  • Try dipping them in broth, a touch of oil or anything they love.. They usually can’t resist the cronch after that
  • You can also break them up and add the treats to their meals, if you want them having the extra fiber ❤

The name of this product is a tribute to our beloved late dog: Buck Rogers, Space explorer… Swashbuckler. He was a showstopper and everyone who crossed his path seemed to fall in love with him.   What better way to honor him than by dedicating these treats to him… made with the health and longevity of our beloved canine companions in mind.
